WASHINGTON, June 12 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Japan captain Wataru Endo has pulled out of the World Cup due to foot injury, according to the Japan Football Association, reported Xinhua.

The 33-year-old Liverpool midfielder had a left foot surgery in February and returned to action on May 31.

He had been training separately from his teammates since the team arrived in Nashville city.
